The Charge Up LA! EV charger rebate program offers a substantial rebate on Level 2 charging stations for commercial property owners of office buildings, parking structures, warehouses, medical centers, malls, schools, churches and retail centers operating on LADWP commercial electric meters.

LADWP Commercial Level 2 EV Charger Rebate Criteria
- Your property must have a shared-use LADWP commercial electric meter
- Charging stations must be installed on or after designated rebate period
- Charging stations must feature a J1772 connector with an output power of 6.2 kW or more
- Charging units must be permanently installed by a licensed electrical contractor and hardwired to the building premises (wall-, pole-, or pedestal-mounted)
- A minimum in-service period of 5 years is required for rebate eligibility

Determining Your Eligible Rebate Amount
- To qualify for 1 charging station rebate, you must have a minimum of 2 parking spaces available to employees, tenants, or the public
- One additional rebate is available for every 4 additional parking spaces, up to a maximum of 40 rebates per premises

Rebate Enrollment: LADWP will open rebate enrollment on February 20, 2024, and June 17, 2024, running for nine business days each.
- Pre-approval and deployment applications should be submitted by your licensed electrical contractor on behalf of your property.
Pre-Approval Plan: Before submitting your application for your LADWP Rebate
1. Submit a complete Commercial EV Charging Station Customer Submittal Package to ensure the utility infrastructure is sized for the incremental load resulting from your planned deployment.
2. A rebate reservation is available to set aside funding for your rebate before the deployment of the charging stations as long as the program’s requirements are met.
3. If the requirements are met, you will receive an email from LADWP’s EV Service Design Group confirming that LADWP has received a complete Customer Submittal Package. You must receive this confirmation email before applying for a rebate.
Application Submission:
- Electronic application will be accessible through your LADWP account during the enrollment period of February 20, 2024 - February 29, 2024, or June 17, 2024- June 25, 2024
- Applicants must be an LADWP account holder. If you are not an account holder, you must register for an LADWP account before the open enrollment period
- Electronic applications will be accessible through your LADWP account during the enrollment period
- Completed applications with all required documents must be submitted electronically via LADWP.com/commercialEVrebate during the scheduled enrollment period
